Very peaceful and quiet, although in Lerado. All the Rangers are great and always busy. Walking trails, lake, wildlife, large spaces, lots of restrooms. An old mission style building to walk around. As a rock hound, there are lots of wonderful rocks. There are several beaches and a large dock for fishing.
Stayed here two consecutive days & it was a phenomenal stay! Loved the electric & water hookups, restrooms were clean, area was quiet, & many food options in the surrounding area. Not badly priced so you definitely get your bang for your buck. Plan on returning!
We had a great week here. We stayed in site 106 - full hookups, nice afternoon shade and great access to the lake.
It was very quiet while we were there (Apr 12-18) with only a couple of other RVs in the loop - felt like we had the place to ourselves.
We enjoyed walking in the morning to the fishing pier and the old museum on the hill. We would definitely stay here again when back in Laredo.
Nice park, trails are well maintained. People at the entrance are polite and helpful. There is not a lot of traffic on the roads so we can bike safely. We talked with a fisherman, he said the lake is full of fishes. The campsites are large, we are not too close from neighbors. Restrooms and showers are clean. The park is quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful campground, very clean park, workers are nice and helpful. Unfortunately we couldn't book a site with sewer because they were all taken, but the dump station was very near so it was perfect! Our area had everything we needed. We definitely will plan another trip out soon. Kids had so much fun playing in the lake! My son enjoyed fishing from the pier.
