Been to this Danny's Mexican Restaurant (5920 San Bernardo Ave) several times. Everytime I go visit my parents in Laredo Texas, I Go Eat at the Danny's Downtown. My Girlfriend Cecilia loves the food and I love it too❤️ Restaurant is clean, and they have hand sanitizer for Customer Use👍 Prices are Reasonable but they have No Military Discount🪖
I will Go Back Again 👍
Food is good and it has several appealing specials. I had a rib eye special for $8.00, can't be beat. It is the table-service restaurant closest to the bus station. I was also happy with the service.
Establishment was very clean and staff was friendly. Lunch specials were inexpensive and offered a variety of options. I had the lunch sampler plate which had a piece of steak, crispy taco and enchiladas. Steak was flavorful, taco was delicious, the enchiladas seam to be of a house made sauce which you could really taste the chilies, not your average Tex-Mex flavor but seemed more authentic to Mexico flavors of fresh made sauces. The beans lacked flavor and salt, no flavor what so ever. The flower tortillas were different and actually had a sweetness to them, I didn’t ask if they were home made which leaves to be questioned.
Danny’s is a staple of Laredo and overall was a good inexpensive restaurant. I had a enjoyable lunch.
Danny's is an old school restaurant that conserves the traditional American cafe style but offering traditional Mexican food. The environment is cosy and warm, hostess and waitress are very friendly and attentive and food didn't take long to be served. Everything was delicious and at a very good price range. I definitely recommend you to come eat here after that 2 to 4 hour line, waiting to cross the bridge.
Order: Parrillada for 1.
Busy lunch time but party of 4 and lunch was $33 with drinks??? Yep, they have lunch specials and they are the full meal. I had the mole chicken plate with rice and beans. Good portion. Chips and salsa oh hell yeah! Great taste and again it was $6.99 for lunch! Convenient free parking but before lunch as it is packed
