A hidden jewel. . . .
BRENDA'S Restaurant is a special find... "WHY?", (you might ask), because it's one of those places that is cooking treasured family recipe dishes, right here for your enjoyment. It's a restaurant with A/C that gets you out of the heat this town tends to foster, and most importantly, the folks running the joint and serving your meal are super-friendly and welcoming.
"But Stranger," (you might inquire), "WHY is it a 'hidden jewel' "?
Well thats easy, glad you asked! People just don't seem to know about it (or the wonderful cooking going on here...) YET!
"So tell me Partner," (you might probe), "WHAT did YOU eat that was so wildly good, you were inspired to write this overly-long review?"
Another easy question! My lunch included a mixed-greens and Iceberg lettuce based salad, with sliced cherry tomatoes, fresh broccoli, cauliflower, shredded carrots, and topped with perfectly grilled-and-seasoned squash. I got my protein from a big bowl of lentil soup that included kale and sweet potato... boy I love me some good hot lentil soup! It can't be beat!
So, when you find yourself driving Mine's Road, near the Fuel America truck stop, take a lunch break to check out Brenda's... you won't regret it! That's a promise...
(10-4 little buddy, I'm gone...)
